Whistler to Cassatt is an exhibit that highlights the Lost Generation of American artists - illustrating a dramatic transcontinental chapter of American art history. The goal was to take on the Impressionist era - which is all too often shown in traditional settings, trapped in white-wash walls and drab surroundings - we chose to celebrate the artworks with an atypical, “Wes Anderson” flair.
This is an exhibit that immerses visitors in the presence of American masterpieces - adorned in gilded frames, gleaming against walls painted vivid coral and orchid (or) surrounded in black and blue pinstripes, enveloped in a cocktail of electro-jazz & hypnotic disco-tech music. You can check out our awesome playlist here.
